Los Lobos

February 6, 2020

Fusing good old fashioned rock and roll with brown-eyed soul, cumbia, boleros and norteno, Tex-Mex outfit Los Lobos (which translates to The Wolves) first gained commercial success and an international following when their cover of Ritchie Valens' La Bamba hit the top of the charts around the world in 1987. Experimenting with multiple genres over the decades, their wide-ranging sound has flourished in a variety of styles, from acoustic ballads to experimental rock. Whilst they may reinvent themselves constantly, their definitive fusion of Latin and American music remains at the creative core.

Californian band Buckcherry got together all the way back in 1995 and released two great albums before going their separate ways in 2002. It wasn't until 2005 that members Josh Todd and Keith Nelson formed the band again with a new lineup. Today, the band are better than ever and continue the Warpaint tour to 2020!

Always on the move, Fitz and the Tantrums new album marked yet another evolution for the band. Formed in 2008, the six-piece began life as horn-heavy Motown revivalists, then shifted gear toward Human League-esque electro-pop with their second album More Than Just A Dream. For their latest, they've focused their attention on pulsating, dance-music inflected pop. Think Maroon 5 with a bit more bite.

Following several years of radio silence after the announcement of an indefinite hiatus back in 2012, Thrice are rising from the ashes ready to unleash a new era of post-hardcore music. Since their formation in 1998, the California rockers have broken ground and rewritten the rule book for the genre they helped define by skilfully blending searing punk, pop, progressive and screamo, resulting in nine studio albums and constant tours around the world.

Living by the motto 'country music makes the good times better and the hard times easier', rising country superstar Granger Smith was born and raised in Texas, and turned his attention to guitar at the tender age of 14 because his hero, George Strait played one and he thought it'd attract the attention of the fairer sex. Little did he know, it wasn't long before he was playing across small-town stages across his home state and at 19 years old he released his debut album with the backing of a major label.
